- Item is a photograph of the Fifth Special Assembly of the Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs that was held at the Sheraton Landmark in Vancouver, British Columbia from November 24th to the 25th, 1978. The photograph is an interior snapshot of a conference room with rows of people seated at tables. There appears to be a sign at one table with a band name which partially reads "THOM". In the centre of the image there is a man speaking into a microphone. The man is wearing a suit and tie. Caption in UBCIC News vol. 7, no. 1: Indian Governments (Band Councils) define who are our people and how we want to live.
