The Central Interior Regional Conference was held on July 25th to 27th to elect a new UBCIC Vice-President and discuss current issues. 36 delegates, Chiefs and Councillors representing the Lillooet-Lytton, Thompson-Nicola, Okanagan, and Kootenay districts were in attendance, as well as students and observers from around British Columbia and guests from the Colville Tribes in Washington. Workshops were held in the evenings on fishing, social development, Indian Government, energy and resources, and education.
