- Item is a photograph of a boat on waters near Gold River, British Columbia. The photograph is a snapshot of the boat floating in the distance. Behind the boat in the background of the image there is land visible although some of it is obscured by fog or low clouds. There is a small bit of land visible in the foreground of the image as well.

- Gold River was constructed in the 1960s to house families for the newly constructed Tahsis Company Ltd. pulp mill, located where the mouth of the Gold River meets Muchalat Inlet. Pollution from the pulp mill soon became a problem causing health issues for nearby residents and interfering with fishing. The Tahsis Company Ltd. pulp mill no longer exists.
