- This snapshot was probably taken in Montana on a trip to the United States to gather information about mining as part of public education efforts related to a film being produced by the Hat Creek Committee and the Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs. The film, entitled "Hat Creek", documents concerns about B.C. Hydro's proposed plan for a coal mine and power plant in Hat Creek, British Columbia. This project involved researching, interviewing and filming people and places in relation to Hat Creek as well as people and places already affected by coal mining elsewhere such as in the United States.
