- In September of 1978, Edna Ned of the Sumas Band was charged with transporting fish across a commercial boundary, illegally disposing of fish, and possession of salmon where salmon was illegal. Judge Kelly ruled that she did commit the offences that she was charged with but gave her an absolute discharge.
