- The meeting was held to discuss the $407, 971 being charged to Mission area Bands by the Mission School Board to pay for a school the DIA agreed to fund in 1972. On November 1, 1978, the Mission School Board passed a resolution stating that status children would be barred from public schools in the Mission district if the Bands did not pay the money for the building of a high school that was already constructed five years earlier.
