Scope and contents

Item is a photograph of a Demonstration at BC Hydro against the proposed coal-fired power plant in Hat Creek. Photograph is an interior snapshot of people seated around a board table. A man flanked by two men in suits appears to be talking. He is standing behind the right side of the table; he appears to be speaking as he gestures with his hand, it is balled into a fist with his index finger pointing downward. Some of the people are looking to him, as is George Manuel who is seated in the right foreground, while most are looking downward. On the wall the analogue clock reads approximately 4:12. On this wall are panels, the one on the left reads "RAIL" with the image of a locomotive beneath. The other panel reads "TRANSIT" under which is a poster of two buses parked side by side. Seated at the front right end of the table a woman is holding a child in her lap, at the door way stands a woman holding a toddler.
